Garrett Kanehann is a co-founder and Partner of BlackEagle Partners.  Prior to co-founding BlackEagle, Mr. Kanehann was a vice president of Questor Management Company, where he led acquisitions across a broad range of industries.  These transactions include the acquisition of Polar Corporation from Citigroup Venture Capital, the acquisition of two metallurgical coal mines from U.S. Steel (Buyout magazine's 2003 "Small Market Deal of the Year"), the acquisition of Hebb Industries from its founders and the acquisition of Ryder TRS from Ryder System, Inc., its parent.  Mr. Kanehann is a former director of Hebb Industries, Riteway Inc., Schwinn/GT Corp. and Polar Corporation.  

Prior to joining Questor in 1995, Mr. Kanehann was an associate in corporate finance at Bear Stearns & Co., New York, where he focused on buy and sell-side mergers and acquisitions.  Previously he worked in the mergers and acquisitions group at John Nuveen & Co., Inc.  

Mr. Kanehann is a current director of Federal Broach & Machine Company, Rockford Products, and InStar Services Group.  

Mr. Kanehann holds an M.B.A. in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in English from the University of Notre Dame.
