Mr. Runco is a co-founder and Partner of BlackEagle Partners. While at BlackEagle, Mr. Runco has worked on acquiring distressed, non-core and family owned businesses. Mr. Runco works closely with management teams to implement profit improvement initiatives at BlackEagle portfolio companies. Prior to co-founding BlackEagle Partners, Mr. Runco was at Questor Management Company, a $1.2 billion private equity fund focused on turnarounds and special situations. Mr. Runco’s industry investment experience includes aerospace, automotive, oil services, transportation and business services.
Prior to Questor, he was chief operating officer of Energy Clearance Corporation, a lower middle market business in Detroit, Michigan. He is a frequent speaker on such topics as distressed investing and operations focused turnarounds and is also a guest lecturer at the University of Michigan Business School.
Mr. Runco is a current director of Federal Broach & Machine Company, InStar Services Group, and US LBM Holdings.
Mr. Runco holds a J.D. from the University of Miami Law School, an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan Business School and a B.A. in finance from the University of Colorado.
